J Lambeth memorial scholarship

An inspiration to us all, our dear Ann passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loving family, she went easily and peacefully. A mentor and a muse, a mover and a shaker, she was so much to so many and will be dearly missed and remembered in our hearts forever. There only was and ever will be one Ann Lambeth.

The design industry was Ann’s lifelong passion and she lovingly championed so many along their path. A founding member of The Washington Design Center and a very strong leader in the new WDC, her tireless commitment and drive to advance this industry, and the people in it, was remarkable and rare. Ann was a design dynamo, and her steady, consistent and heartfelt efforts to bring the best of the world to Washington was matched only by her constant efforts to share the best Washington had to offer with the rest of the world. Ann was an ambassador of great design.

We could think no better way to celebrate her life and honor her singular efforts and accomplishments in this wonderful industry we call home than to continue her legacy. In her honor, we have established the J LAMBETH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP to benefit design students with awards to help them achieve their design degrees. The Scholarship Awards Committee will be Chaired by Mr. Barry Dixon an industry partner and very dear friend of Ann’s. A dreamer herself, Ann’s final accomplishment will be to help others achieve their dreams ... and in the end to make life and the world we live in ever more beautiful.
