The line includes handwoven windowcoverings of metallic strands, meticulous, decorative weaving and elegant Sashiko-type stitching. Especially designed to complement the windowcovering collection, Smith’s handcrafted wallcoverings are adorned with saturated pigments painted over neutral backgrounds. These designs are inspired by antique, hand-carved abaca stencils, architectural lattice screens, and artistic Japanese imagery.

“The fine craftsmanship and artisanal quality of Hartmann&Forbes is evident in everything they produce,” explains Michael S. Smith. “With their dedication to handwoven, sustainable product, and their uncompromising commitment to excellence, I knew this partnership would result in a beautiful and unique collection. It was an honor to work together.”
